About This Program

At Ashraya Zilla Vikalangula Samakya (AZVS), we believe education is the foundation for dignity, independence, and social inclusion. Children from tribal communities, fishery families, and children with disabilities often face multiple barriers such as poverty, inaccessibility, lack of awareness, and social stigma — leading to irregular attendance and school dropouts.

Our Children's Education & Counseling Program is designed to ensure that no child is denied their right to quality education.

AZVS distributes school bags, stationery kits, notebooks, and essential learning materials to children from tribal and fishery communities, as well as children with disabilities. This reduces the financial burden on families and encourages regular school attendance.

We conduct individual and group counseling sessions for children and parents to address learning barriers, emotional challenges, and confidence issues. Special focus is given to children with disabilities to strengthen self-esteem and resilience.

AZVS organizes awareness programs in villages and coastal communities to educate parents about the long-term benefits of education, preventing child labor and school dropouts, inclusive education rights for children with disabilities, and equal educational opportunities for girls.

We work closely with families, teachers, and communities to promote inclusive classroom environments where children with disabilities learn alongside their peers with equal respect and opportunity.

Through continuous engagement, educational support, and counseling initiatives, AZVS has helped increase school attendance, reduce dropout rates, and build confidence among vulnerable children across tribal, fishery, and disability communities.
