One of the proudest milestones of the month was the successful completion of three batches of the Pankh Employability Training Program. A total of 25 candidates graduated, equipped with enhanced confidence, improved communication skills, and workplace readiness competencies.
Representatives from Reliance Retail visited AZVS to conduct interviews with trained candidates. Their visit was more than a recruitment drive — it was a strong statement in support of inclusive hiring practices, bridging the gap between ability and opportunity.
March witnessed the launch of a Self-Employment Initiative under the Enable India Project at Gangavaram. Participants completed a 10-day RSETI Entrepreneurship Development Training covering business planning, financial literacy, market analysis, and small enterprise management.
Representatives from HSBC and the Cheshire Project visited AZVS, interacted with beneficiaries, and reviewed ongoing accessibility and livelihood initiatives. A particularly impactful moment was the donation of a Neo battery to support a wheelchair user, significantly enhancing mobility and earning capacity.
March was also a month of pride in sports. PwDs from Kakinada achieved victory in district-level para sports competitions, bringing recognition and inspiration to the community. Certificates were distributed in a celebratory gathering, honoring determination, talent, and resilience.

AZVS organized a retail industry exposure visit for students under the Pankh skill development program. The visit provided hands-on understanding of customer service, billing systems, store layout, team coordination, and duty rosters.
Dr. P. Sureshkumar and Mr. G. Suresh visited the Warangal Employment Office to strengthen collaboration and discuss inclusive hiring strategies. The team also coordinated with University Arts and Science College regarding the upcoming job mela.
The AZVS Warangal team conducted employer visits to sensitize companies on disability inclusion, workplace readiness of trained candidates, and long-term benefits of inclusive hiring. This outreach ensured strong corporate participation in the upcoming Mega Job Mela.
AZVS distributed livelihood loans to PwDs in collaboration with Rang De under the Enable India Project, promoting financial independence and sustainable livelihoods among rural beneficiaries.
AZVS Chennai participated in a government-organized job fair to identify and mobilize job-seeking candidates with disabilities, expanding outreach and strengthening coordination with public employment services.
Recognizing that empowerment goes beyond employment, AZVS distributed dry ration kits to students to ensure nutritional security and reduce financial stress on families — reflecting a holistic support approach that addresses both livelihood and well-being.
The highlight of the month — a Mega Inclusive Job Mela organized exclusively for Persons with Disabilities. Participating companies included MedPlus, Zudio, Westside, Paytm, and other reputed employers.
Ms. Supriya from HSBC visited the AZVS centre to understand program impact. The team interacted with students, alumni, and parents. Parents shared that their children had become more confident, responsible, and socially active — highlighting that behavioral growth often represents deeper impact than numbers alone.
The month concluded with a graduation ceremony for students who successfully completed their training. An HR representative from Reliance Industries attended as Chief Guest, sharing industry insights and employment opportunities. Certificates were distributed, celebrating transformation, readiness, and confidence to enter the workforce.

Ms. M. Nagajothi, Program Director – AZVS, attended a one-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013. The training strengthened AZVS's capacity to create awareness among PwDs on their rights and safety at the workplace.
A new self-employment training program for PwDs commenced on 22 January 2026 in collaboration with RSETI. The program successfully concluded with a Graduation & Certificate Distribution Ceremony on 31 January 2026, celebrating the skills, confidence, and readiness of PwDs to pursue sustainable livelihoods.
