At Ashraya Zilla Vikalangula Samakya (AZVS), we are committed to promoting mental health, dignity, and inclusion for persons with mental illness through community-based rehabilitation initiatives.

We organize structured Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programs that focus on early identification, continuous support, and social reintegration. Our approach ensures that individuals receive care within their own communities, reducing isolation and strengthening family involvement.

Through community campaigns, AZVS works to reduce stigma, dispel myths, and address ignorance surrounding mental illness — bringing awareness to the grassroots level where it is needed most.

Individual and family counseling sessions are provided to support emotional well-being and aid in recovery. Our trained counselors guide both the individual and their family through challenges, ensuring a strong support system at home.

Regular mental health camps, assessments, and screenings are organized to reach underserved communities. Individuals identified during these camps are linked to appropriate psychiatric and medical services for further care and treatment.

Our Community-Based Rehabilitation model supports long-term rehabilitation, follow-up care, and social inclusion at the grassroots level — ensuring no individual is left behind after initial treatment.

AZVS also creates income-generation opportunities to promote financial independence and restore confidence among persons with mental illness. Livelihood support is a critical step in helping individuals regain their sense of purpose and dignity in society.

Through these initiatives, AZVS works to ensure that persons with mental illness are not excluded but empowered to live healthy, productive, and dignified lives within their communities.

"Mental health is not a privilege — it is a right for every person."
Through care, inclusion, and community support, every individual deserves to live with dignity and hope.
